Baby and Business Class

Flying more than 30 hours in an economy class sometimes puts pressure on my husband,so from time to time(even for short flights sometimes) we do fly business class. Oh,well the premium service is just excellent! Flying business class is luxurious but look at the comfort of Prisco sleeping like that! It does compensate for the bulk of money we paid. But that's not my point...
Anyway,in flying business we expect that people choosing this option wants the best quality airline service---tranquil environment with no unnecessary noise as much as possible. So,anyway, here we go,arriving in our business seats with Baby Prisco. With a Baby? You can just see the gaze of the other business class passengers. They don't wanna talk to us in all the duration of the flight as if we have some sort of an illness! I am just praying silently and would see to it that Baby Prisco will sleep tightly and comfortably. Thank goodness that he was very cooperative when he was a baby! And here we go,we landed, and wow...now the business class passengers were talking to us saying,"What a good baby he is! Isn't he adorable?" I know...i know...It had been wonderful flights i guess because my Baby Prisco had been very quiet all along. And this i could not guarantee now with my new baby Cameron. I can see he is very different especially that he's now teething. He experienced flying locally like 6 times to and fro Davao-Manila and guess what? Half of that journey he's crying! So, in his first international flight(on the 10th of April) we'll not be flying first class. I guarantee you people in the economy class are more baby-friendly! And i will have this more relaxing feeling even if Baby Cam will cry half of our journey!

Awe what a cute baby. How bad of those business class people to act that way, shame on them.

Tell me about it, lol. It is hard enough to fly with a little baby, and even harder if you're in a very tight economy class. I could just imagine the look on the faces of the other business class passengers who of course took the business class flight for the same reason as yours, convenience. And there you were with a little baby, LOL. The cry of a little baby is the last thing they need, LOL. Anyway, there should be a crying room in a plane just like in church LOL.

I agree with you Prily, people who are in Business or First class are annoyed when kids are present. I remember when we flew to California with Amber, one man commented that we should just stay home. And that was at the start of the flight! Amber was a very good flyer, she's been flying since she was a baby. I just bit my tongue and didn't say anything, I don't want to go down to his level. :(
Definitely Maybe!

yeah.. I hope baby Cam will be a good 'flyer'..hehehhe! sometimes, it's not the crying of our baby that pressures us but the people around us..esp. those who don't have kids or those who don't remember how their babies were like..hehehe!

Hi Prily,
That's the problem with traveling with your babies, people are so wary that they will cry and your co-passengers will be deprived of their much needed rest and relaxation aboard their airplane. Well, that's the hazard of constant traveling with your babies in tow. God bless you all.

I do understand the sentiments you got there, flying with a baby. It's hard and people sometimes don't seem to accept how babies behave inside a closed environment for such a long time, even if most of them got kids and have been in that same situation.

I'm fortunate that I haven't encountered such mean passengers when Kaiden started travelling at a young age of 2 months.

So how was your flight to Scotland? I hope your little one just slept straight through. Surely, he'll get use to travelling!
